Yes, SpyCam works when Mac is asleep. If you have started a session before sleep, it will continue to monitor and record even when the Mac is asleep. The camera will continue running in the background.
Yes, there is in fact a new 'Surveillance Mode' feature that does exactly that. Once enabled, the camera will only start monitoring and recording while the screen is locked. After you unlock your Mac, the camera will stop monitoring.
No, SpyCam does not collect any data from your Mac. All the processing is done locally on your device. Your privacy is our priority.
Yes, you can connect your external camera to your Mac and use it as a security camera. If for some reason the camera goes offline, SpyCam will automatically switch to the internal camera.
Yes, SpyCam offers several recording length options, from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. You can also set it to 'Auto' which will record for the duration of the motion event.
If you have enabled 'iCloud Sync', you can access the recorded videos from any device that is linked to the same Apple ID. The videos are stored in iCloud and can be viewed in the 'Photos' app on your iPhone.
Yes, if you have the same Apple ID on both your Mac and iPhone, you can use your iPhone as a camera for SpyCam. Note that you need to enable 'Continuity Camera' in your iPhone settings.
